Objectives :

- To know how to conduct a study concerning the environment, whether it be for a diagnostic study, an assessment of environmental effects of a given product, a process or a facility or activities on a region.

- To know how to recommend solutions and compare costs/benefits.

Contents :

The study subjects can be related to various fields of activity: Agriculture (i.e.: Land Management Contracts, agricultural waste), environmental protection (i.e.: Natura 2000), communities (i.e.: Waste recycling), industry and manufacturing (i.e.: Waste treatment), private businesses (i.e.: Choice of pesticides in Botanic stores) government services (i.e.: The Department of Public Works and roadside treatments).

Prerequisites :

Training provided by FESIA schools

Teaching methods :

Tutoring and meetings with businesses that contracted the study.

Assessment :

• Regular working meetings with meeting minutes (Individual evaluation on ability to lead a meeting, participation and summarizing interactions in the meeting minutes : Students take turns leading the meeting and serving as secretary)
• Final Examinations – Answer questions (oral + written)

Final Presentation.
Written Report and Final Report.

Students will choose only one of these topics according to their major initially chosen.
The end thesis internship is compulsory only for degree-seeker students (including students attending a bi-degree).
