Details

Objectives :

- To understand interdependencies between the various components of a socioecological system.
- To understand territorial constraints on the scale of a small region
- To analyze interactions between various actors in the management of "natural" environments
- To study the organizational modes of a production area
- To learn about a specific agro-system (i.e.: rice – durum wheat) in a "multifunctional” region
- To analyze land-use of a region in its ecological complexity

Contents :

- Introduction to the agro-economic context of the Camargue.
- Methods of analyzing a production area
- Methods of studying a geographic area
- Preparation of questionnaires (group work during the trip)
- Stay in the Camargue (Presentations, field trips, group surveys)
