Objectives :

- To understand the political aspect of international trade relations
- To detect, understand and analyze the challenges of agricultural globalization : The winners and losers of globalization (farming communities around the world).
- To analyze the role of international institutions (Rules of international trade and agricultural development policies)

Contents :

International trade relations:
• Country risks and political risks
• Democratization and political culture
• Political and cultural approach of major economic powers (by continent)
• Business policies and geo-economic rivalries
• Geopolitics of maritime transportation
• Social and cultural consequences of economic globalization
•Social responsibility of multinational corporations (Corporate Social Responsibility) and sustainable development

Agricultural Globalization :
• Agricultural negotiations at the World Trade Organization (WTO) and regional agreements
• World hunger and food sovereignty (Food and Agriculture Organization World Food Program - WFP)
• Agriculture as a development project (Micro-loans / world bank)
