Objectives :

To make future engineers and executives aware of issues and constraints related to the financial and legal environment in which agricultural businesses / farming and agri-food businesses evolve, in order to ensure they are able to:
- To identify the risks and opportunities
- To integrate them into an analysis and decision-making process.
- To know how to identify the required knowledge/skills and resources and to integrate them into the management of operations.

This module, which comes after ERE1, is designed to provide more advanced knowledge of the basics gained earlier and to apply them in the framework of topic-oriented work

Contents :

Financial Environment: Exchange rate risks
Managing exchange rate risks – Exchange market derivatives
Problems related to managing exchange rate risk
Reducing business exposure to exchange rate risks
Exchange risk management on short term currency receivables and payables

Business and its Legal Environment: Challenges
* Introduction to contract law: Negotiation (conduct, running and closing of the talks), construction (disposition, birth / life / death of relative, final contract provisions): More advanced look
* Agricultural and Agricultural Farming Industries (AFI) businesses under European law (Food law, etc.): Origin and changes in regulations, sectorial / business challenges
* Introduction to international taxation (business/corporate): Challenges, purpose and methods and tax planning
* Introduction to corporate taxation: More advanced look
